LOUISVILLE – Trainer Larry Jones announced Tuesday morning that Kentucky Derby contender Mark Valeski would not run in Saturday's race, saying that he thinks the horse is qualified to be in the Derby but would rather preserve him for future races.
"We feel like he's a Derby horse, but we don't feel like he's a Derby horse this Saturday," said Jones, who trains Mark Valeski for former Kentucky governor Brereton Jones, who has never had a Derby starter. Read Full Story
