Unique Event – Sleigh Rally!
The annual Montanvale Sleigh Rally sponsored by the North Central district of the PA Arabian Horse Association was held in Forksville at the Gavitt farm on Saturday, January 16. Eight classes for horses and ponies were held for the six turnouts who attended the rally. It was a beautiful sunny day for judge LizAnn Barlett of Hughesville to view and place the classes. Announcer was Allen Dohl and Ruthann Gavitt acted as rally manager.

These 26 miles rides, along with a shorter (less than) 13 mile clinic ride, are being held concurrently on April 25, 2010 in beautiful southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. Enter one or both.
This is horse country at its best, but you do need a fit horse to fully enjoy it. The trail master and crew have been busy laying out some interesting new trails for you. Please get your entries in early, because we are limited in the number we can accept. Primitive camping is available.
If you are eligible to enter both rides (and send the signed Cheshire result form to AHA), your horse may be eligible to win double Achievement Award points, if he is enrolled in that program. Horses entered in the PAHA High Point program may count points from both rides!
Note: *You must be qualified to enter the Region15 ride
*We have added a Pass/Fail Division to the Cheshire this year – Limiting entries to five riders (See E.C.T.R.A. rulebook for qualifications to enter this division.)

NC PAHA Arabian Show
The NC PAHA Arabian show will be held on June 4, 5 & 6, 2010 at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville, PA. This year the show will be featuring concurrent classes. Exhibitors will be able to economize on stall and bedding fees, as well as, fuel, accommodations, meals and labor! All classes except dressage, lead line and exhibitions will be double judged – points will be doubled and classes will have two sets of awards.
This show is a small exhibitor-friendly event held in a relaxed environment. A-Rated and USEF, AHA, USDF approved. What a great qualifier for Region 15 and East Coast! We hope you will join us for a great show!
The show will feature: Purebred & Half-Arabian classes, sport horse, PB & HA dressage, reining, carriage driving, exhibitor’s party (juniors and amateurs are especially welcome!), youth classes, lead line, walk-trot division, sport horse in-hand and eight sport horse under saddle classes on Saturday.

Diane Dincher drove Chyna Bey, an Arabian/Friesian Cross mare, placing first in the Single Horse class. Julie Gavitt Shaffer and niece, Bethany Lambert, with Mohamed Knockout, an Arabian/Saddlebred Cross won the Currier and Ives Class.
