Paulien Alberts Clinic
Back by popular demand, I am happy to invite you all once again to our Winter Dressage, Para-Equestrian Dressage and Musical Freestyle Clinic Series with Dutch FEI Trainer, Competitor and Judge Paulien Alberts of Emmen, Holland. We will hold our clinic with our wonderful hosts at Spring Creek Farm in Lyman, Maine,February 26-28, 2010 with more dates to follow throughout the spring. Auditors are welcome!
As before, the emphasis of this clinic is dressage, Para Dressage and musical freestyle – your choice! All levels of horses and all abilities of riders (both able-bodied and Para), as well as those from other riding disciplines are most welcome! We will offer semis, in addition to private sessions.
In addition to Paulien’s instruction we will also offer this month:
· A lecture with Hope Hand, the Director of the U.S. Para-Equestrian Association, who will give a lecture on Para Equestrian activities. She will be available throughout the clinic to answer all of your questions and work with you. This is an exciting time for Para Dressage since it will be the first time it is celebrated at the World Equestrian Games this year!
· A lecture and visit from custom saddle maker George Gullikson of Equation Saddlery who will be on-site on Saturday to answer questions and work with you on your saddling needs. http://equationsaddlery.com/index.php

If you have questions or need lodging/stabling recommendations please call, I am happy to help! Checks should be made out to “Mary Jordan” for the clinic fees. Checks should be made out to “Spring Creek Farm” if you rent a horse. This handicapped-accessible facility is beautifully laid out and we do have a heated viewing room. There is a second indoor ring for warming up adjacent to the main ring. Worried about trailering? We have quality therapeutic horses and other mounts available at a reasonable cost on-site.
Looking at the months ahead we plan to have a riding clinics in Maine in March, May, and June and one in April in Kentucky; We will also have a Train-the-Trainer clinic with an emphasis on test riding and overall preparation. Stay tuned!
We look forward to seeing you! Last clinic was such as success with riders from around the country and was a celebration of diversity with everything from FEI riders, Para Dressage riders from all levels, exciting musical freestyle development, and training rides with young dressage horses. Don’t miss out, we’d love to see you!
