Northeast Friesian Horse Club
2009 NEFHC Classic Horse Show June 26-28
Were you there? Did you see it? Well if you weren’t, you should have been! This year’s NEFHC Classic horse show was no
t only slated to be the best show yet, it was. Good, solid class counts…sold out stalls...record Dressage numbers...and no rain, what more could you ask for?
Opening the Friday afternoon session was our new annual Dressage event. Sixty-seven horses competed for that ultimate score...and of course to ride away with the prestigious NEFHC High Point Dressage Award. Congratulations to Friesians of Majesty’s Othello and Alecia O’Donnell for taking high score for the day of 73% qualifying in Intro Level B. Close behind in second place was Alisha Taylor with Lofo Paulo Prunelle owned by Margo Killoran with a very impressive 70%.
I hope you were able to join us for Friday Night’s Moving-in Party sponsored by Pine Feather Farm. Pizza, soda, chips and good friends...fun for everyone!

Speaking of good food and fun, how about that BBQ Saturday afternoon, sponsored by Don Ray Insurance...did you catch a glimpse of Tommy flipping those burgers for your eating enjoyment! Well
if you didn’t, you should have, yummy! Thanks, Terri, for feeding all those hungry exhibitors and for the good laughs.
Now what would a NEFHC show be like without Adam Cropper and Jane Mulvey-Raulerson’s Friesian Remco performing on Saturday evening...banish the thought that they might not be there...because they were, and they once again gave a show stopping, crowd pleasing, standing ovation performance. It would not be Saturday night without you, thanks!
Now after all this clapping and stomping we all needed some substanance and nourishment (and that late night sugar buzz) so step on over to the rail and fix yourself a mouth watering ice cream sundae. Ummmmm...thanks Becca and John and Stony Pine Stables for sponsoring this event. We loved it.
I think it was unanimous that we all had a lot of fun...eating, chucking those ducks and lucky Rose Russell who won the Toshiba laptop that Barbara Coughlin donated. You might not think we will be able to top this show again next year,
but believe me, we will. Come on, Rick...time to start planning 2010...See you there!
