Granite State Appaloosa Association January New

GSAA members and their Appaloosas were well represented at the NEHC stock seat medal finals in October in Springfield. Six of the top 10 riders in the youth class were members, including first place which went to Melanie Cormier on Tardy Dream. Second place was awarded to Amanda Soffron riding BGs Skip Solo and third to Kristi Hinchey on PCE Rockin Charlie. Melanie and Kristi ride with Sara Tremblay and Dustin Eickenhorst of Candia, NH. Amanda rides with Janna Flynn of Lanes End Farm. Other Lanes End riders in the top ten were Rebecca Ardman, Jessica Peterson and Alex Reppucci. The adult medal class winner was Scott Berry on Zip’s Valentine. Fourth place went to Janice Reppucci and fifth to Janet Murray riding Totally Zippo. Eighth place went to VT Appaloosa member Lindsey Danforth.

Jodi even brought home a new horse trailer courtesy of Twin Cities Featherlite for Ziperb’s win in the ApPHA pleasure futurity. Beth also brought home something new – Exception Impulse, a three-year-old gelding who is currently leading the nation in three-year-old western pleasure and junior western pleasure.
GSAA 2009 award banquet will be February 21, 2010 at the American Legion in Epping, NH. Come and join us for good food and our ‘Trash and Treasure Auction’.
