At the Standardbred Retirement Foundation

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation will host the first ever Equine Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 25 at their farm in Hamilton, NJ. From 1:00-5:00 p.m., there will be plenty to enjoy, and so much to learn. Dr. Patricia Hogan will speak on the great strides made in equine medicine; an equine nutritionist will shed some light on the variety of feeds, and bring your hoof questions for our blacksmith to help you. Then enjoy horse demonstrations, face and pumpkin painting, an equine art display, autumn pies, wine tasting, numerous vendors for holiday shopping and more.

Attendees may want to bring a trailer along; it will be very easy to fall in love with some fuzzy noses. There will be horses and dogs who want a loving home to go to at the end of the day. Interested horse adopters will need to be pre-approved to bring home a new friend. Simply go to the website and fill out an application.

SRF’s farm is at the intersection of Old York Road and Broad St. in Hamilton, just a few miles from Route 130, at 108 F Old York Rd, and three miles west of Allentown, NJ. For more information, please call 609-324-1500, visit www.Adoptahorse.org, or email at events@srfmail.com. The indoor arena makes the day a rain or shine event.
