It seems like just yesterday I was writing that the mud was finally drying up and the season was kicking off. And yet here I am writing about the conclusion of our season.
EMRHA had a great year. Our season included cowboy races, clinics, and ranch horse shows. Our dedicated members came out in all types of weather. We saw many familiar faces and made new friends throughout the year.
Our final show of the year was held at West Wind Ranch in Johnstown NY. Day end results were:

Our members competed throughout the northeast at EMRHA events as well as many others including Hudson Valley Ranch Horse shows, Equine Affair’s Versatility Challenge, and the American Ranch Horse Associations World Show.
We’d like to thank all those members and non-members who took a few minutes to stop by our booth at Equine Affair. It was a great time. It is so much fun to watch as the interest in Ranch Horse Events grows each year.
In November we held our annual meeting to elect officers, review the 2009 season, and discuss the season to come. I will have more details on the 2010 season in my next update.
As we bring the 2009 season to a close we remind everyone to be on the lookout for information on our annual banquet. The banquet provides us a chance to ward off cabin fever and come out and talk horse with all our friends. When you combine our members, a good venue, and fantastic food it is an amazing time for all. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
