Donations Sought for Injured Dressage Trainer

Author: Mary Phelps |

Lyndon Rife, from Pilot Point Texas, popular dressage trainer from USDF Region 9 Dressage, was recently involved in a very serious accident. He suffered broken ribs and a ruptured spleen. At last report he was in critical condition and underwent surgery to remove his spleen. He is in ICU at Denton Regional Hospital, Denton, Texas. Lyndon and wife Julie now need your help. As is the case with many equestrian professionals, they do not have coverage to pay for these medical bills and will not be working to bring in income.

In less than 24 hours, there are already wonderful stories about how the community is helping out. Some trainers have already stepped in to help with their lessons and horses in training. And an account has been set up to help collect funds for them. Funds can be deposited in the following ways. At a Wells Fargo Bank, make check payable to "Lyndon Rife Medical Fund". You may reference account number 8429961256, however the account number is not necessary. Or you can mail your donation in; make the check payable to Sarah Hester, 5811 N. Woodcreek Circle, McKinney, TX 75071. She will send people a response letting them know she received and deposited the check.

Please keep Lyndon and Julie in your thoughts and prayers.
