Ade Lente at NE Keuring
Congratulations to Leah Jamieson and her four-year-old filly Ade Lente on a successful day at the KWPN-NA New England Keuring held at Apple Lane Farm in Lancaster, MA, on September 20. The pair rode in the dressage (IBOP) performance test designed as an indicator of a horse’s aptitude for sport. There were five horses presented to the jury, all trying to earn the IBOP Predicate. In the end only Ade Lente received a passing score from the KWPN jury, and she was the only horse awarded the IBOP Predicate.
The pair was also the New England Keuring site Champion of the DG Bar Cup sponsored by DG Bar Ranch. The DG Bar Cup is for three-, four- and five-year-old KWPN dressage horses and is patterned after the PAVO Cup classes for young dressage horses in Holland. Gaits, rideability, balance, rhythm and suppleness are some of the factors considered as the horse performs required movements. The pair is now awaiting the final results from the 11 North American keuring sites to see who will be crowned the overall Champion and Reserve Champion of the DG Bar Cup Series for their age group (four year olds), which will be awarded during the KWPN-NA Annual Meeting in March of 2010.
The pair began their partnership in 2006 when Leah purchased Ade Lente as a yearling. Since that time Leah has trained Ade Lente in-hand, backed her, and started her under saddle in 2008. In 2009 Ade Lente began her show career under saddle attending several competitions throughout New England including competing in the Markel/USEF FEI 4 Year Old Young Horse classes. Ade Lente has proven to be a fabulous dressage prospect.
Leah Jamieson teaches and trains out of her facility Laurelwood Farm in Townsend, MA. For more information, visit www.laurelwooddressage.com.
