Date Added: February 25,2010 |

The 2010 edition of Everything Equine promises new and inviting displays, activities and opportunities to explore every aspect of horse culture. Among the highlights for this year’s event on April 24-25 is “Simple Pleasures”, featuring products, services and resources to help horse enthusiasts relax, revitalize and recover.

According to Tom Oddy, Director of Special Events at the Champlain Valley Exposition, the Simple Pleasures emphasis brings horse enthusiasts new and expanded services to help soothe mind, body and soul. “We recognize that part of the challenge of working and living with horses is the physical toll. ‘Simple Pleasures’ reminds our visitors to take care of themselves while they take care of their animals.” Oddy lists such services and products as spas, skin and hair care, nutrition, stress reduction/relaxation, aromatherapy, and comfort foods that will be highlighted for Everything Equine attendees this year.

Everything Equine 2010 provides a premier venue for businesses and organizations serving the equine industry in the Northeast. Part educational event, part consumer trade show and part social get-together for New England, New York and Canadian horse lovers, Everything Equine is a valuable resource for everyone in the equine industry to get the latest health and equine care information. During the two-day show more than 150 exhibitors will display the latest equine-related equipment, feed and supplies. Fifty seminars and demonstrations will educate and update attendees on a wide array of topics.

Another new addition to the event will be an equine-inspired art exhibit. Submitted works will encompass mixed-media, photo and posters in an exhibit that gives artists of all ages a chance to compete for recognition. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks. Also, a new Breed Row tent will be featured that highlights disciplines as well as various horse breeds. On-site exhibitors will help give attendees a deeper understanding of the traits of the many horses that comprise modern equine life, as well as the diverse activities involving horses.

The weekend will also feature the ever-popular “Horsin’ Around” Variety Show on Sunday afternoon. This musical show highlights the relationship between rider and horse and is a sellout every year. Equine experts of all ages, disciplines and interests will showcase their (and their animals’) talents in an entertaining revue that will have audiences cheering from start to finish.

Vendors that have a connection to any aspect of the equine industry are invited to participate in Everything Equine 2010 at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, VT. Vendor space is still available for the April 24-25 show that is expected to attract more than 7,000 people. For information about being an exhibitor, call Susan Petrie at 802-878-5545 ext. 26, or email spetrie@cvexpo.org.

Everything Equine 2010 is sponsored by University of Vermont Extension, Poulin Grain, Inc., Purina Mills, Guys Farm and Yard, Blue Seal Feeds, Inc., Horsemen’s Yankee Pedlar, Equine Journal, The HorseWorks, Alltech, and the Champlain Valley Exposition.
