2009 Holsteiner Approval Tour

Author: Equine Journal Staff |
Date Added: September 10,2009 |

The 2009 American Holsteiner Horse Association (AHHA) Approval Tour began in August in Georgia and will continue through the month of October ending in Moorpark, CA. The October dates include Winley Farm, Millbrook, NY on October 1-2; Pennock Point Sporthorses, Reddick, FL on October 4; and Rancho Corazon, Lemitar, NM on October 6-7.

Each of the AHHA’s eighteen Approval Sites is an opportunity to seek evaluation of breeding programs from a panel of professionals. Mares, stallion, geldings and young horses are presented at sites selected each year by the Breeding and Registration Committee from applications submitted to the Breeding Committee.

The judging panel is composed of one to three judges who have Holsteiner breeding and judging experience. The Breeding and Registration strives to include one or two judges from the Holsteiner Verband for the large and stallion sites and values their input in achieving AHHA breeding goals.

All Approval Site are open to the public to attend and are free of charge. Additional information regarding the AHHA Approval Tour may be obtained by calling the American Holsteiner Horse Association office at 502-863-4239 or by emailing ahhaed@bellsouth.net
